Absolute is operating as a recruitment agency for the supply of permanent opportunities. Our Cwmbran based customer is recruiting a highly skilled Administrator to join them as soon as possible.

You will be an experienced Administrator with the ability to multi task and plan work accordingly, to achieve the best results. Attention to detail and flexibility is of the utmost importance, as you will be working in a small team, where you will be required to support in a variety of ways so that the team as a whole achieves the best results possible.

You will provide office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, policies, and monitoring administrative projects. Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring operation of office equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Coordinating corporate “Wellness” activities including team events and employee recognition awards.
  • Greeting clients/suppliers/visitors to the organization in a professional and friendly manner. Maintain on site visitor records to ensure adherence to company security policy.
  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate documented processes and procedures for all Administrative critical roles and responsibilities.
  • Responding to general enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Sorting incoming mail and courier deliveries for distribution.
  • Recording all out-going mail and post within the day of receipt.
  • Maintaining adequate supplies of office stationery and refreshments.
  • Maintaining and create new supplier/vendor accounts on MRP system and ensure all data is current and true.
  • Processing purchase for non-inventory related requisitions, generating the relevant purchase orders and work with requestor and supplier/vendor for delivery within expected timelines.
  • Evaluating and approving site contractors, co-ordinate any on-site visits and inform relevant parties as and when required.
  • Updating training matrix & cross training of appropriate team members
  • Provide cover/assistance to Customer Care, Warehouse and Finance teams where required to generate Sales/Purchase orders and schedule delivery dates. Maintain stock codes and co-ordinate retest of stocked products with manufacturers, according to retest/shelf life schedule to minimize expired or scrapped inventory. Provide support by participating in internal audits and reviews as directed by Compliance Manager.
  • Work with team and cross functional areas to establish best practices for identifying and implementing preventive and corrective actions in relation to IT, HR and EHS functions.

As the employer imports and exports goods, your role will also include providing office services to identify and implement effective tools to improve efficiency and streamlining of compliance activities. You will receive full training in order to:

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate documented processes and procedures for all Import/Export compliance critical areas.
  • Review UK Tariff & Customs Tariff updates highlighting any relevant information to Finance Manager.
  • Update UK Tariff & Customs Tariff folders upon notification of changes.
  • Maintain fully auditable records to ensure Export compliance.
  • Maintain fully auditable records to ensure Import compliance on imported shipments.
  • Co-ordinate the monitoring and recording of freight forward service delivery, ensuring service agreements are maintained and expectations are met.
